This has been a tough season to make determinations after missing out on a state meet last year. Seeing the times at the sectionals is one thing, seeing who would have gone those times at state or gone slower is another. We have a returning scorer from 2019 in each circle heat starting with Wille.
The wildcard with her is a new coach, but if she can just hold her sectional time she should be in top 6. Otherwise there is lots of new blood in this heat with Wendel being the only other previous scorer, but that was in the fly. Bucaro scored 2 years ago and has one of the best training partners in the state with Reader. Dorshorst and Guist like Bucaro are all in the 500, so the race strategy could be at a premium in the middle heat. The styles makes fights showdown is Parkhe v Reader as Parkhe is much more of a sprinter 22.51 to 24.2 for Reader on their respective 200 relays. Will Parkhe take it out big early, or wait until the last 50 and try turning on the afterburners?
